Royal Ascot 2014
June 24, 2014
A winning partnership
This year marks the beginning of a new ten-year partnership agreement between Sodexo and Ascot Racecourse, which means there are high expectations for this year’s Royal Ascot.
Sodexo does not plan to disappoint and is pulling out all the stops to make 2014 even better than last year. The relationship dates back over 15 years and every year Sodexo ups the ante to impress guests.
This year is no different. In 2013, Sodexo brought in Michelin-starred chef, Tom Kerridge to wow diners in the Panoramic Restaurant; in 2014, we’re adding two Michelin-starred chef, Atul Kochhar to the mix, as well as bringing in the pinnacle of French cuisine, Lenôtre to really enhance the customer experience in the purpose-built hospitality suite.
Of course, it’s not all about fine-dining. Race-goers will be able to enjoy the great British summer with specially made picnics; dabble in the finest seafood available in our Champagne and oyster bars; or just grab a gourmet burger and watch the horses come in.
One thing that will remain constant throughout, however, will be our focus on customer service. Everyone we employ for Royal Ascot will have undergone intense training to ensure that the customer is king – whether it be the high-flying executive buying Champagne by the magnum in the Royal Enclosure or the race fan buying a pint of lager in the grandstand.
