Copy 2 of 123crediteBucharest, June 3rd, 2015 – Sodexo, top player on the Romanian ticket market, announces a partnership with Mega Image, Profi si Carrefour, where consumers will be able to  use the Gusto Pass electronic meal vouchers. Sodexo intends to be among the first issuers of this type of meal vouchers thus giving the employers and employees the option to choose between electronic or printed meal vouchers.

The new Sodexo Gusto Pass card network already includes over 2500 retails units covering over 85% the country. The network will continue to expand, resulting in the largest network of affiliated units for both the electronic and printed vouchers, thus keeping the national leader status Sodexo has been holding for the last 16 years since the company activates in Romania. Now the network of retailers that offer access to Gusto Pass meal vouchers issued by Sodexo is over 66,500 retail units

Worldwide, Sodexo group offers 65%-70% of its vouchers on cards.  „We expect that electronic meal vouchers will face the same positive trends in Romania as well” say Jean Istasse.

General info regarding the new Sodexo Gusto Pass vouchers:

The electronic meal vouchers are dedicated exclusively to the employees individual food allowance and can only be used in the catering units with proper technical equipment which are under contract  with the issuing units.

1. The Sodexo Gusto Pass vouchers are being issued under a MasterCard license. They are contactless and incorporate the chip&pin technologies
2. When paying for the food in the catering units, the meal vouchers will be charged the full amount of the ordered products
3. The money on the electronic meal vouchers will have the same validity period as the printed vouchers
4. The face value on electronic meal vouchers and paper meal vouchers is 9,41 lei starting with May 2015, increased from 9,35 de lei
5. The Gusto Pass vouchers don’t present any additional costs for the employees. All the costs for the electronic vouchers are paid by the employers.
6. The electronic meal vouchers cannot be used as credit cards
7. The vouchers will not allow other deposits
8. The vouchers will not allow cash withdrawal
