In 2007, the Servathon project took place in four different countries and scored outstanding results: over 30,000 Sodexo employees participated in stop-hunger activities and donated over 100 tons of food to organisations that fight against hunger and served over 50,000 meals to people in difficulty.
Sodexo Romania joined colleagues from Australia, Canada, Mexico, UK and US over May-July 2008, in this international social involvement initiative.
The purpose of this social programme is to collect funds whereby to support communities in three extremely poor villages in Romania: Alma Vii (Sibiu county), Almasel (Hunedoara county) and Bolda (Satu Mare county).
The project has three main financial sources: Sodexo, business partners and final beneficiaries.
Company partners (clients, affiliates, members of the Romanian-French Chamber of Commerce, other companies that are actively involved in social responsibility campaigns) took interest in this project and have supported it financially (directly into the bank account of Stop Hunger Association) or provided products.
We want to thank companies that have been cooperating with us on this project and have provided various products to support this campaign:
- Cadbury Romania
- Dr. Oetker
- A&D Pharma
You may support this project yourselves too by donating funds into the bank account of Stop Hunger Association: RO90 BRDE 445S V087 4096 4450
Sodexo team has been involved in a good number of competitions and activities, aimed at donating money to further support this project:
- a football championship for employees in Bucharest
