The first workshops were organized Friday, May 13, in four communes and villages from Arges County: Pietrosani, Ganesti, Badesti and Retevoiesti.
Within the education for nutrition program „I eat healthy at school”, addressed to students in the primary school (classes 0-IV), the children learn how to eat healthy during the school breaks. During the workshops, together with the Medicine students they create the menu of a healthy snack at school, learn what nutrition rules they should follow to be in good health and find answers to the most important questions about the impact of nutrition on health issues according to various ages.
„It is important to educate children to eat healthy, to learn the basic notions of a healthy nutrition since early childhood. The interactions of children with the students at Medicine University that are volunteers within the project, show their need to have information adapted to their age on nutrition”, is stating Codruta Pisa, Public Affairs Director, Sodexo Romania.
